Last summer Lyndel King, Director of the Weisman Art Museum Director asked me to help design a catalog for an upcoming two-year exhibition. The 39 artists in the show were unified by Mingei, a philosophy of work that had been passed along through four generations of artists. When the catalogs were delivered to the museum I received this email from the director.

“Beautiful! The Mingei catalog is stunning. Congratulations and thank you. It is perfect.”
